Morning all,

Is there a particular choke lube that is preferential? I currently just wipe a rag with gun  oil over the chokes when they go in. Just wondering if there is something better?

Also so just ran out of my last can of gun cleaner (Napier) which I liked as it acted as a lubricant as well; like the choke lube, I am just wondering if there is anything better or worth trying?

cheers

Whatever works for you - i just use Legia spray (99%) for cleaning and 'gun grease' for hinge pins and a dab on the choke threads etc.

Perhaps doing a 'search' on here would give you some more info - pages and pages in fact

Same here, Legia and grease. Job done.

Bags of info on here as Battue says. But try a few and see what works for you and then let us know. World would be boring if we were all the same ?

I use napier too. If it works, why change?

Lucas red gun oil for chokes, Lucas red grease for knuckle. Both around £5 off ebay. Oil lasts for me around 2 years, one grease gun size of red grease will see me out ! These products were designed to be used on machine guns so have exceptional high melting points, far more than any shotgun will generate.

P.S. Do not use barrel cleaner, just clean cartridges.
