I don't know, I'm no expect but these do seem to have quality control issues, a friend's one went back 3 times from new and if you search they don't seem to have the best reputation.

Some of them certainly look nice, but...

- They are known as "Bettinsoli Boomerangs"

- They are known for quality issues.

- They are built to sell for £800 new

A used Beretta, Browning or Miroku is a much better idea and you likely wouldn't lose any money when you came to sell it...if you sell it.

How much is this s/h gun?

A shooting buddy has just bought a 25 years old Beretta Onyx with 30" M/C barrels for £450. That is a far better buy than a month old Bettinsoli and will likely give him less trouble too.

Obviously the choice is yours, but you would do better to find one of the big three and/or wait until you have that bit more to spend on one of the big three.

The expensive bit of shooting, is not generally the gun...if conservatively, you spend £40 a week on clays and shells, that's £1700 a year.

Before you leap into this, can I say (although I have said it before, MANY times) that I used to be involved with running a shooting ground. I therefore got to see a lot of guns (and to shoot most of them too), there were trigger issues with the gun that you have in mind. If you are buying from a Dealer, ensure (preferably in writing), that you can return the gun should any faults arise, within say, a 6 month period. A friend has recently got rid of a Bettinsoli for a Browning and his shooting has improved 10 fold overnight. This was NOT due to gunfit, it was the general balance and handling of the gun and, of course, that trigger mechanism. So, as they say 'Buyer Beware'  !

He wants £550 but will take £450 for cash
Listen to the previous advice, it comes from experience. Stick with Beretta or Miroku, they are sound investments and are held in high regard by almost everyone.
