Yes! They are doing one! £300 HG, fibre wad.

I've been saying for years that they should. Crazy that they haven't. Hope it goes well and that they make it a regular.

I'm sure there will now be a debate re the fibre wad side of it..

Looks like they're trying hard to get people to ignore the fibre wad thing with the HG prize ?? The problem is if you shoot plastic, which most of us do, then it's a real hassle to get hold of a 100 comp standard felts for one offs and I for one wouldn't want to start buying two lots of shells.

I know they sell them at the ground but whatever it was last time I shot there did my confidence no good at all !

If it were my event, I would buy a job lot of decent 28g fibres and offer them at reception, at a 1000 rate for individual boxes.

Unfortunately the reality is more likely that they'll take the cheapest job lot offered at any one time without necessarily thinking of the performance aspect. The other thing of course is that felt wad shells are likely to be even more varied in performance from gun to gun compared to plastic, so a single good shell may not suit all ?!

I did say that this would be all about fibre wads.. I always have a few in stock for the occasional local shoot or even the Bisley police shoot.

Ffs just buy a slab of Pro Fibres and shoot! Whats left over will be enough to do the next one!

I shoot Gamebore white gold and black gold in plastic and fibre , the difference is next to nothing , even at range !! .....

Surely any serious clay shot has a alternative choice of cartridge in fibre/felt when they compete at game fairs, local straw balers, charity events, etc.......Lets be honest, there is not one cartridge out there on the market which under performs the shooter !!!.

Most of the competition brands of cartridge offer both plastic & fibre, the differance is hardly noticable.......

Utter rubbish, sorry but if you are judging a shell on whether it goes bang or phut then you need help! Some fibre wad cartridges out perform plaswads time after time, so lets not judge something on the sound it makes....

Plastic goes bang

Fibre goes phut

Big difference.
Never shot Black Gold Fibre then Chippy?

They ROARRRRRRR!!

I can understand the "budget cartridge" fans not using them because you get what you pay for, and that includes PERFORMANCE!  Try them, you may be surprised.
