Our very own Josh Bridges (who a number of you will have met at the recent 'War of the Roses' charity shoot last month - he won over all High Gun) has just become the English All Round Open Colts champion at the English All Round Open at Nottingham & District Gun Club, with an overall score of 81 !! Apparently the weather was bloody awful, too!

The lad's 15 years of age and coached by Brian Clegg.

Well done Josh! A bright future awaits!

Edited to add the British Colts' title

An excellent result for Josh, well done.

I imagine it was a bit windy today and very gusty which is even worse.

Vic.
You're right Vic - the weather was apparently bloody awful, especially as he was shooting the DTL leg (traditional a strong discipline for Josh).

And the winner is...

well shot there was some tasty targets on the sporting that probably fettled a lot of good shooters.

Not only, but also! Josh had to wait until the last squad had shot to find out he'd won - and won by one bird with an 82 !!

After he'd shot the British A/R Open in Nottingham, Josh then went and shot the ESP reg comp at Kegworth where he placed 2nd highest Junior with an 86 !!

The lad's on fire!

Think Tim did a 95 and Taylor did an 88 but haven't seen the full results yet :)

Great news for Josh Bridges: on the back of his recent 2013 English and British All Round Open Colt wins on the same weekend, he's just accepted a non-exclusive brand sponsorship deal from Gastro Medical Solutions LLP for 2013 and 2014!

Nice to see some non-shooting brands getting back in sponsoring shooting and putting their money where the talent is.

The terms of the sponsorship deal are anything but onerous and, importantly, will be of highly practical use to Josh and his progress as a shooter.

Josh has also been invited to meet with other potential sponsors over the next two weeks.

Well done Josh - richly deserved recognition.
