I suspect that telling the high scores in already is the height of gamesmanship, designed to put you off, so train to ignore or avoid the information!

Park your car at the furthest point of the car park , towel's over the window's and hide inside till you shoot and remember not to look anywhere but the floor at all times, except when your shooting . Fitted earplug's and earmuff's a must of course.

Not necessarily Robert. Everyone is different and some people need a score to chase, some people just like to celebrate good scores and talk about them with no ulterior motive.

Competition shooting is portrayed as a bit cut throat and full of cheats, in my experience it is quite the opposite. I have found it to be supportive, encouraging and an opportunity to celebrate success.

The mindset for disciplines like Skeet and DTL can only be a max 100 straight, if you start off by thinking a 98/99 will be good enough you'll never get there, sometimes a 100 straight will only get you to a shoot off! After you master the shooting technique it's a totally mental game but a game you play against your self.
