myself and Allison are really excited to announce we have been awarded the above shoots again for this year , they will run as last year at garlands shooting ground near Tamworth in the heart of the midlands which we feel is an ideal location for most shooters .

this year the format will change dramatically to having an extra day of competetion where several from each class and categories will qualify for a super final 75 bird shoot on the sunday .

another big change is that every squad will start on the same stand at 9 minute intervals , so to eliviate the fairness of starting on difficult stands .

the sportrap will be the same format as 2014 consisting of 4 layouts and 100 birds

much more detail will follow shortly

hope to see you soon steve

Goodie, goodie, great :king:    :nyam: :spiteful:

Sport trap   going to have to get my finger out this year :haha:

Sounds like an interesting format for the sporting, cant wait

Dont know why they did........its a SSI site & fibre only ground !!!
Yes.
Went Sunday. They thought they had it. I mentioned fibre wads, they said they had it wait and see fibre would not be a prob.

They are going to do registered with fibre. Did one reg last year.

Brilliant, a bit closer than the English so will Definatly be there. A 75 bird super final. Brilliant.

And happy days the CPSA have actually listened after last year. Or at least you told them how it was going to be Steve, either way an improvement.

Can 6 people shoot 8 birds each in 9 minutes? Just a thought

Another great shoot to look forward to Well done Steve and Allison i can rest assured...

Count me in, I enjoyed last years outing.

The new running format on the sporting should improve things

Should rename it The 'TOWIE' Open (the only way is Essex)

I think this is the first time I can remember where a ground has held the BO two years in a row, new system should be interesting and I am pleased to see a super final on Sunday, will definitely be entering this instead of the EO... :)

thanks folks for all your comments .

andrew heron i did alot of timing squads at the classic last year whether it be on reports or simos and they were timed at between 6 and 10 mins depending on the shooters and of course the targets flying times , we are also incorporating ghost squads into the day so this will give me chance to fill towers and traps without too much interference with the shooters so again allowing it to flow better

busy year ahead , a good holiday first in dubai and then lets crack on with it , soon be christmas

And to top it off Steve will be able to make sure all the stands are accessible and flat, that the catering is 1st class and on the ground floor, the trade village is packed with all kinds of wonderful things and freebies it's cheap to enter and the weather will be wonderful. Do all that and you might get 1 more entrant.

Sounds brilliant and qualifiers each day for the super final should mean a great event from start to finish. Well done to all involved in orchestrating the necessary changes :)
