I have a 2015 Browning 525 which I belive is back bored. I have seen some posts that talk about poor performance of fibre wads through guns with back bored barrels.

Quite a few of the grounds by me are fibre only. Is there a type of fibre cartridge that works better in back bored?

Should I avoid these grounds completely?

I put 50 fibre loads through it last weekend and it seemed to be ok, maybe a tad thumpy, but mostly seemed ok.

Just don't go too cheap, average cost cartridges and above are just fine, I use em all the time in my 725 which is back bored. Good shooting!

So I would guess that the Comp-X Fibres might not be a good shout?

Tempted to try some Gamebore Evos but was just going to stick with cheap shells until my shooting gets better!

My 525 has been fed only fibre cartridges and nothing else from new, as said, a tad dirty but no problem at all. I use Kent Velocity..... :hunter:

ive shot hull superfast fibres and not had a problem.

My mirook and 525 are both back bored and I use Velocities in fibre and plaswad with absolutely no problem.

I've picked up a slab of Gamebore Evo 24gm 8's with fibre wad today. Will see how they get through the gun this weekend!
