IMO Rachel Parish does have an unusual gun hold in that she floats her head next to the stock rather than having her head down on it. Seems to work very well for her though!

If you look at the two photographs it look like that Browning is just so huge... then you look at how far back the head of RP is from the rib compared to the P shooter! RP's thumb is about four or more inches from her nose the other less than an inch! They have very different approaches to their shooting.
