Anyone at the English open ?

Need a report of the proceedings Incl results as none online.

Interesting stuff.

A class won with a 294

B class 292

C class well done whoever you are as won by a mile with a 280

i stated on another thread that i did not think you could win any class with less than mid to high 90s in any major dtl. Well there you go there is hope for us all,

Oh and AA was won with B 299 but were not too bothered about them are we :)

Got to be gutted for M A Shaw, 25/75, 25/75, 25/75 then 25/74  Wonder which one he second barreled on his last round for the brand new 692 gun?

Yep the 692 is safe at Gmk

thats dtl for you one second barrel and its all over :)

interesting also that some big names were in the early 90s

As I've said before, the CPSA might as well not have offered a prize. I believe there's only ever been one 300/900 shot in competition anywhere in the world in the history of the discipline. They'd be far better offering smaller prizes down to 10th place in class (as with the Krieghoff) than offering one grand prize that's almost impossible to win.

As far as the Dougall DTL is concerned at midday Ken Rimington was leading with a 100/297.

Kreighof have got it right with pay out a long way for all classes and the lucky number thing giving everyone a shot at something. Bywel weekend used to be dtl mecca but prob Kreighof is now. Both great shoots though.
