Very complicated :)

Our cat does what she wants when she wants as she is too evil and we are scared to give her orders or cat curfew :)

Update on cat - he is alive. His previous owner came to visit me and he has cat. He lives in the flats across from me so close at the back of my house really with gardens between us. It seems his friend let the kitten out three months ago and he never went back. Even though my other four cats are also his, one being the mother of said cat known as Tilly to me. They all go to and from our homes so they are true free spirits as cats are except for Leon known as Dave to him who does not like him anymore and does not go home - that's because he loves me better, a real mummy's boy. We had a good chat and showed pictures and he said he would give the cat back if I wanted him but his mother really did miss him. I said no he would be the legal owner but I would be the auntie. we have agreed the cats can come and go between us and if either is worried we can ring. So happy ending really :)
Good news! Thanks for letting us know. I just hate it when you don't know the outcome like this.

Round my way there are frequent "missing cat" posters put up on lamposts but you never get to hear if they get found.

Caught a missing Guinea Pig once that had been gone for two weeks. The feeling I got when I took it back to the little girl who owned it was priceless and still brings a tear to my eye today as I write this and it was over 5 years ago!

Guess I'm just a big softie??

The carpet still bares the scars although thankfully not the smell - it looks as if a murder has taken place there are the remnants of the crime scene still visible.  To be honest it needs changing - why we gave a 17 yr old girl -  makeup, nail polish etc etc a beige carpet instead of a wooden floor I do not know.

Sian,

You could try giving your daughter three packets of Digestives and two bottles of Wine, put her to bed and ask her to clean up any mess when she wakes. That should restore the carpet colour.
