Certificate Replacment

My licence ended up in the washing machine ! my pants came out clean but the licence was a ball of paper mache, ho sh*t. Because I could not find anything online as to replacing it, I rang the firearms department they said send a cheque for £4 with a letter and it will be with you in a few days  how cheap and easy was that !

I moved recently. Saw our local FAO (who is Brilliant) the next day, new licenses on doormat 3 days later.  Gotta big up the Sussex 5-0 for that.

If they can replace a certificate in days , why does it take months to do a renewal?
