A couple of really interesting videos taken by @nickyt with the new iPhone 5S - and its pretty good Slow Motion feature....

Very cool, I want a super slow motion camera, so I can see the shot string  and count the pellets xD

there is a good slow mo video app on the iPhone called Ubersense. You can change it so you can slow it down to 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 speed..... I use it for some assessments but I guess you could use it for looking at how much recoil affects you and also for watching the clays smash in super slow motion....

That's really great, I will try it out.

a mate of mine filmed me the other day it shows you what you do wrong.

How do you upload video on here?

I use that on the ipad, it is fantastic for highlighting issues and you can draw on the video to show where the barrels are pointing or where the hold point was, you can even compare videos side by side and its free!

Tom - I uploaded those to YouTube and then embedded them here... happy to help if you need some.

Just found out my camera will do 400fps for 5 seconds, and 1200 fps at a very low resolution.

Will try it out on Sunday.

yep, it's a quality little app Matt. Lots of Physios using it now too.

It can be scary, when you slow it right down and watch your shoulder when the gun is fired its amazing how much force your shoulders, arms and neck have to deal with.

I've not filmed it yet but have stood side on watching the shoulder during recoil and it is amazing how much it moves.

i prefer my physio to use the old fashioned hands on technique :)
depends what they are doing. It is a brilliant little assessment tool as a lot of movements are not that easy to see in real time and also great to show patients as often it is hard for them to visualise what is going on.....anyway, that is a different subject.

Great videos of Nicky shooting.

Nick I use the app FiLMiC Pro. You can save different speed settings so you can change from one to other fast. Also and best of all you can set the focus so it doesn't jump and reset when you've move the phone. And you can set the light to not jump also.
