Sent my renewal and address change off to TVP in October, cert ran out on 16/1/13 so I rang to chase yesterday and asked for a temp ticket to be told my app hadnt arrived FFS! My cheque hasnt been cashed so now I have had to put guns into storage rather than them issue a temp one like I had last time they were late about it. At least I have moved to an area who have a fair FEO, Mr King. Copious amounts of tea/coffee and choccie hobnobs for the safe visit I think .

My next door neighbour has just applied for his (TVP) - Steve said 6 weeks is the current new issue time.

Sent mine off on monday re change of address.Got a call Tuesday asking a few questions, said I should get ammeded licence next week, and a heads up I will be getting renewal letter in a few weeks, well done Leics top job!

I heard (so it may not be accurate) that Notts are taking approximately 28 weeks for new applications!!! 7 months! We have so many new shooters that are desperate to get their first gun and just can't.

It's actually really sad to see all that budding enthusiasm go to waste.

I suggest that Notts. people who are BASC members contact BASC's firearms department. 28 weeks is totally unacceptable.

Just had the FEO out yesterday afternoon, got the all clear on cabinet etc, really nice fella, had some good advice for a newbie like me, he has said I should receive my cert in the post in the next 2-3 weeks, I handed the application in on the 7th jan so all told not too bad a wait.....as long as it does turn up of course!

Thames valley, by the way!

The last two renewals have been back with me within 3 days of the expirary date!
The last inspection was carried out out two weeks after I had the certificate renewed.
Excellent service from Lincolnshire police!

Another constabulary-by-constabulary test to this is how long it takes your local plod to turn around a European Firearms Pass (EFP).

We're doing a forum shooting trip to Italy (Brescia) in April and the various members are experiencing varying turnaround times from one week to .... ?

waiting on renewal from kent police, was told they are still dealing with renewals from oct/nov 2012

just emailed Glos for one, said i would have it in a few days... i'll report when it lands.
