Juat read Matt's review of Emtec Noisebreakers from October, what I wanted to know is,

Matt, what do you think of them now after 5 months use? Are you still useing them? If you lost them tomorrow, would you go out and buy another pair?

First pair lasted me since 1994, till last year. Lost 'em. Hope they don't fit whoever found them. New ones are ok. I prefer the solids not the valves. If you'll give them time, one of their minstrels will call at the house or work when passing to put toothpaste in your ears. Guess there's plenty of factory fitting. I wouldn't recommend green - ears and potatoes come to mind.

At first they seem awkward to fit [they're not mirror images - ears are quite different either side] but strangely in time you know right and left by first touch in your jacket pocket.

What everyone has to realise is that they are made in Shropshire.

Everything that comes from Shropshire is BRILLIANT.

Apart from Telford

Had mine for 3 months now and if lost would replace in a heart beat! Excellent customer service, most comfortable ear protection I've ever used. What's not to like :)

They sent me out the wrong colour 1st off but after an email had the replacements within 2 days and that was the week before Xmas when the post was shafted :)

I just spoke to them and the most feasible way for me is to get impressions made locally and send it to them. They suggested it should cost no more than about £25 which they'd deduct from the total :) .

Recommended Hamster - they should be able to give you a list of people to stuff putty in your ears local to you (advise using a pro - it's not a DIY job ;) )

I think ear moulds can be made at your local hospital?? Try local hearing aid centres.

Let me know how you get on with getting these done Hamster. I quite fancy a pair of these, and I think you're in my neck of the woods..

I've so far called 4 Specsavers none which could give a cost on the phone as they kept saying the specialist is only on such and such a day, one rang back and quoted £150!! Waiting for one more to call back but if need be will drive to Maidstone as directed by the Emtec lady.

Maidstone is nice and close to me, so would be perfect. Where abouts in Maidstone? Did she give you the details?

Give this guy a call / email (tell him ShootClay sent you)

Adam Davison - [email protected] - 01743 709480

They'll advise on the best places locally.

No I didn't delve too much but she also knew of a contact in Tunbridge. I'll call her again in a few days if all else fails locally.

Just called them, they have a Glasgow agent, call the agent, make an appointment,£75.

I too have sent them an email, did mention your review on here Matt..... As I am looking to get these as opposed to the standard ear muffs that I have been using following a leason with Robert6500 las t Sat as he pointed out that the muffs do catch occasionally and make a very slight n oise when they touch the stock, this is only just audible when it is very quite but it is enough to affect how you shoot.
