Try contacting your local clay shooting club, ask if they can arrange a 'have a go' lesson for you. Bombard the Instructor with all the questions that you THINK you need answering. Have a coffee and a chat with some of the other members, you will be suprised at how many will willingly let you 'try' their guns. Try as many different guns as is possible and make a note of any that 'feel' right and this includes right handed guns, shot from your left shoulder. When you eventually come to buy, you should have a short list. If it solely clay targets you intend to shoot, do NOT dismiss an auto, regardless of some of the comments you may get on here. I use an auto for most of my instruction and have yet to have any persons go away injured from recoil.
