Hi , A friend of mine has a Gamba Daytona and is having problem with the triggers (very heavy almost to the point of pulling not squeezing the trigger ) I tried it and thought the trigger was locked up solid (it was'nt ). So can anybody out there tell me the best man to speak to about getting the triggers sorted properly , i have heard it said that problems with these triggers are best sorted by sending to Italy  which does seem strange surely they cant be that temperimental .

Many thanks

If its under warranty go that route. If not, any decent gunsmith should be able to sort it. I believe it is trickier to increase pull, but easier to decrease.

The best man to talk to is Paul Thornton at;

Humberside Shooting Ground
Catwick Lane
Brandesburton
E/Yorks
YO25 8RY

Giigglboing it to get the number - it's in my diary at work and I can't be bothered to drive back to get it!

These guys are still the main importers and the man can work on Gambas.  :hi:

Andre, Good ol club hammer and chisel always works.....

Also worth a try; Ladbrook and Langtons at Radlett, Herts. Tel 01923 854639, Carl is experienced at dealing with Gambas, having been trained on them at the Gamba factory.

Yep notorious for trigger issues - I tried 3 s/h before finding one, including a fruitless 300 mile round trip, that didn't have an issue of not transferring to second barrel after shot fired. For some reason I still bought one which is daft really but they are bl??dy lovely :) will take note of Paul Thornton's details too - just In case :) ta.

Wisemans at Cannock are good at regulating triggers. Don't bother with Humberside SG.

Had 2 Gamba Daytonas for FITASC Sporting .....great gun never had any problems with triggers. .......but they were proper ones and not the grey imports that hit the UK for period of time.

Another suggestion if you are near to Bisley is Gordon Swatton at William Evans. Pm me if you want his number.

Ray its not some old Browning !! ......................incoming
OK incoming has arrived!!!!!! You just don't get those sort of problems on decent guns mate! A Miroku/Browning or a Beretta is a far more reliable choice of gun! :comando:   :haha:

Yep Gordon is a great guy, he has worked on several of my guns over the years, sorted out my old DT10 when I had it. I found it almost un shootable when I got it, so Gordon sorted the triggers and modified the stock too, he really knows his stuff.

Ray if you go to the trap thread Nicola has posted news of a Helice shoot coming up, it might be your ideal start in your new venture of Helice shooting !!

Shooting at parkford then ??
Never shot there before, have heard it is an eye opener, will do the 1st one, see what my score is before

deciding whether to shoot the second one.

The second selection clashes with a Helice shoot as well, but will probably opt for the ZZ.
