Gun cleaner

The point of the thread was what cleaner can I get online? I've ordered some 009 stuff from eBay. I was looking for Clenzoil but couldn't find anywhere on the web that wanted to sell it to me except as part of a kit.

I also use TetraGun copper solvent...stinks something awful, but that usually means it will work.

Barrel Snakes are just a convenience before leaving a shoot .

Do not rely upon them .

Local club gunsmith does a post shoot clean for a fiver. Gets it done while coffee and scorecard post mortem is under way. 

One hardly cleans ones own gun does one?

Did that include www.clenzoil.co.uk Liz?  They seem to sell individual items and list a whole number of gun shops that stock as well.

Yes. I could see the stockists but I couldn't find where to buy a single can of gun cleaner so I gave up.

You might want to use it outside or at least in a well ventilated area. I only use the stuff once a year, I just use a clean cartridge.

It removes all fouling, carbon, plastic etc.

Being a gel, it also stays put so it can do the job.

Very good stuff.

I use one of those at the end of cleaning the barrels or rather Tony does as he cleans the barrels.

Lucky me, I've just asked my brother to bring some Hoppe's elite gun cleaner and Hoppe's foaming gell when he returns from the US and at $11.95 and 12.50 each it's a frigging

bargain
