Gun Cleaning-How Often?

Hi,

How often do you geezers clean your guns?

If you were shoooting only several days apart,would you leave it until you knew you werent gonna be shooting for a bit?

Clean it after every shoot, takes 15mins.

Same here.

After each shoot.  Occasionally if I'm shooting next day it may wait till then, but that is far more the exception than the rule (not that lucky to get to shoot all weekend normally!)

I allways clean my gun at the end of a days shooting, can´t put a gun back in the safe when it´s dirty.

Yes after every shoot, takes 3 min with full length mop and a squirt of 303

After every shoot before putting the gun in the case I pull the snake mop through, and clean and oil when I'm home.  When it looks bad I do a full clean.  I suppose if you like mechanical stuff like I do you enjoy taking it apart and give some TLC.

Firstly my gun never gets wet! I wipe the outside after every use though and the day after shooting I push a piece of clean kitchen towel through each barrel. If the gun is not going to be used the in the next two or three weeks or so I give it the full monty. Every two thousand or so I give it a really good clean. At Christmas I will take the trigger out clean and re-oil and give her the full monty as a treat
