To be fair to the CPSA they are offering a 50% reduction for juniors at their organized events, such as the English Open ABT at Brook Bank.

Pity BICTSF are not quite so enlightened.

Sid, that image is sooo wrong on sooo many levels!!

philr,

England ABT team selection shoot at SC two weeks ago £67 for 200 targets.

The GB UT selection shoot at SC a week ago £102 for 200 targets (£2 levy as English Open).

The GB OT selection shoot this coming weekend £120 for 200 targets.

Perhaps the difference in price is due to the Traps used???

Maybe the traps are on Sale or Return?

£120 for 200...they only use 15 traps!!! If they are pricing it per trap, thank god they don't price new system FITASC sporting shoots like that, the GB shoot at Westfield last year would have been almost £1200 on that price structure!!!

Who's shooting the OT selection at southern counties this coming weekend. I've already greased the gun ready! Could be a wet weekend by the looks.
Sid, the forecast at the moment does not look too good mate, but it can very easily change!  In fact it can quickly change from ....."oh it's not too bad" to.....".WTF am I doing here" !!!!!

Hey I look great in my 'Banana hammock' I'll have you know! Cheeky sod
I had the pleasure of shooting on same squad as Sidney at SC last year and I can confirm that I was very distracted by the above mentioned inappropriate attire.

Thankyou both. I actually shot a lot better on the Saturday, well up the overall board, Sunday hit us seated shooters hard though and the scores tumbled, our lower height meant the shallow angle sight line to the trench, the painted centre marks and sheen off the wet concrete made seeing the centre hold point impossible on times. Good shoot though, quite liked the 2 in 1 format.,

Yes Sid the mark would have been impossible to see....and sometimes the mics do not get placed dead square, so a bit of a guesstimate....and your height. I think you should ask them to put a clay on the mark when it is wet. It would only take a minute to do.

I probably will next time, to be fair to Kevin he always does his best to put things right for 'us'. Wasn't a problem on practice day or sat. Whopping targets as usual. Can't believe we could lose that ground.

Sid - According to Pull magazine this month its a done deal. No more events being booking beyond the Intercounties!

Well done Sid !!!!!  It does seem as though SC is going to be finished by the end of the year, however nobody has actually said it officially. I feel sorry for the staff, they are in the dark just the rest of us, that really is not fair at all. Those of us that live down here are now going to have to travel a long way to shoot fast trap, there is DTL available relatively close, but the grounds are simply not in the same league as SC, as I found out at the weekend!!!!!

Very very sad news. I also saw that note in Pull. Loss of a great ground.

Flippin right Nic!! The Dorset championships will have to move out of the county next year, maybe some of the Sporting stuff could stay in the county but I'm not even sure about that. It's a shame that Arab mate of Pete Wilson doesn't step in and buy it, this sport could do with some wealthy people to shove money at it.

Les

i shot abt lancashire championship in northumberland in 2012 its 190 miles away from lancashire, work that one out ?

Les,

Thats what i am thinking with checking out Poussan in the south of France in a couple of weeks !

Mind you I was at Purbeck earlier and heard they might well look at getting some proper traps in !
