Thanks for the tip Phil - hesitating a bit over the price, but with £10k or more guns to carry, could well be a good investment.

Bob, with the valve of your guns the cost for a Pelican case is a bit inmaterial.

Thinking about that you want to put both guns in one case, I have a similar type rifle case to the Pelican that I used for carring 2 air rifles in, if you want I will and take a picture of the case with 2 shot guns laid out in it for you to gauge whether it is viable to carry both guns in one. I know it is a bit tight with both scoped air rifles with in.

Thanks for the offer Andy. Pretty much decided to go for this one: http://www.waterproof-cases.co.uk/product/peli-storm-im3100-case/

Guns laid out on the kitchen table and measured, I should have enough material between the parts to avoid them touching under shock. Just need to borrow an electric carving knife from the neighbours when it arrives.

Just found this quote on the BA website "Each case containing firearms and/or ammunition is subject to a £50 each way charge at check-in. Firearms and ammunition are handled by a specialist third party agent on our behalf; this charge covers their costs."

So a couple of trips on BA would almost pay back the price of the case, good investment.

Matt have you decide what model yet?

Bob,

Thats size of case is going to be vey tight with 2 guns in there it's only 927 by 355mm! you probably want an 25-35mm between each part otherwise the foam possibly won't stay in place easily when putting the guns in and out.

I've done the origami on the kitchen table and it seems to work OK. One or two places the bits are only 30mm apart, the rest has plenty of clearance, so I think it should work.

Be more like the Krypton Factor when you come to mark it out for real. :D :D

Finally bitten the bullet and ordered one of these babies today http://www.samcases.co.uk/peli-storm-cases/im3200-storm-long-case.htm

Decided the longer case gave me a bit more room for two guns and the odd choke and pull through cleaner. Hope they're as good as their reputation.
