Going with the theme of a recent post and the DT11's well publicised MonsterOverbored format, I have been thinking about shell manufacturers exploiting this seemingly untapped hole and kind of reverse engineering shells that allow us all to take advantage of this super new way of enjoying even better patterns.

Basically we need 12 gauge loads with plastic wads that are undersize which will effectively convert all our guns into DT11 clones. There is of course a small flaw in that the chokes may be rendered ineffective but this gap could also then neatly be filled by several choke manufacturers producing specially tightened chokes to go with these shells so as to retain the densities we're used to or need.

The extra spacial distance between the barrel and wad could be depicted on adverts as aiding the pellets uninterrupted path leading to less damage, less friction leading to less recoil etc etc.

Right. You know what you did. Go and stand in the corner. :)

Should this thread not now be moved to Sports Psychology or Sports Injuries ?

Hamster, we are all aware of the extra spacial distance between your ears :haha:

How about purchasing a pair of 20 or 28 Bore cartridge adapters to allow you to shoot 28's or 20's in a 12 bore.

These are readily available priced at £260 each from www.SillySloppyonesSillySystems.com please allow months for dispatch as I really can't be arsed.

I'm buying that domain name.... I'll sell it on to you SloppyOne - just a million quid.

Jeez I am glad I didn't start this thread, at least I wont incur the wrath of a certain scottish shooter by even mentioning 11's

Hammy you are a brave man my friend. :)

Be interesting to see the outcome as it is usually only me that the afforsaid Scottish gentleman has a problem with. If there is no reply then point is proven that he loves me. Its  one of those "I think the man duth protest too much" type things :)

You just need imagination and marketing nous, a new term or three here and there that nobody understands or could research (I'm thinking Theoben Vortex or trapezoidal grip for those in the know) and we could in time arrive at Hologram Tundra low pellet disturbance target loads. If Hull Cartridge Company took hold of it for instance, they could launch a whole new line marketed as Hull-O21Gram, Hull-O24Gram, Hull-O28Gram Tundra Fitasc etc, etc.

Gamebore would go along the lines of  GainMore SlickWad 8's.

That sounds a bit like a Shakespeare line Ian. (Hamlet I think?)
