STRONG !...........not strong enough if you ask me if you know what he did and got convicted for, if i said how i feel i would probably get a ban, but that is far less than all the protected wildlife got !!!I do not post often.
But I think your comments are a bit strong.

18 !!!... where are they then ??I've shot 18 different registered grounds this year. The furthest is 1hr 20 in good traffic. Must be 13 of them within 50 mins drive. I'm in a fortunate location..

Yep, .done that journey to Garda as well. Will do it again when time allows. Personally I do long drives to comps as that's where you learn what you need to work on in practice and sort out. Got a long list this week which in itself is quite rewarding as I took a risk with my gun setup.. I now know that even though it worked ok-ish in practice it didn't when the pressure was on.I drove 18 hours to Italy, lovely couple of days
It all took place a long time ago and is probably best forgotten anyway. All that I would say is, IF, it had taken place today he would most CERTAINLY have had his Certificate revoked. I know of people who have lost their Certificates for a lot less and without any prosecution involved either. In reply to Balltrap's outburst.
Could I point out that you should not make outrageous comments and statements unless you have the full facts and knowledge. Which I actually do have.
The Gentleman (yes that is a correct description) did not do what so many of you have wrongly jumped to the wrong conclusion about.
Yes he was prosecuted , BUT he never had his shotgun licence rescinded and was only banned by the CPSA, who actually imposed that ban without full knowledge of the circumstances and actually interfered in something that did not concern them .
The Gentleman in question probably pays more into OUR sport in a year than most of us will pay in a lifetime .
So please , unless you know the facts , please refrain from spreading malicious gossip and lies.
Just as an afternote :-
If the said Gentleman was guilty of such a heinious crime to be banned by the CPSA?
Why have they subsequently chosen him to represent England on numerous occasions since the ban?
1hr & 20 mins !!!!!........all within thespeed limits then & no traffic on the M25 ??.........You're right Phil I got that wrong. It's 19. ?
