STRONG !...........not strong enough if you ask me if you know what he did and got convicted for, if i said how i feel i would probably get a ban, but that is far less than all the protected wildlife got !!!

From what I remember he was given a life ban but this was later revoked.

OK I have not got all the history about this. Who is the individual you have a issue  with.

I thought this was a comments about  a current poster

 Apologies for any mis communication

In reply to Balltrap's outburst.

Could I point out that you should not make outrageous comments and statements unless you have the full facts and knowledge. Which I actually do have.

The Gentleman (yes that is a correct description) did not do what so many of you have wrongly jumped to the wrong conclusion about.

Yes he was prosecuted , BUT he never had his shotgun licence rescinded and was only banned by the CPSA, who actually imposed that ban without full knowledge of the circumstances and actually interfered in something that did not concern them .

The Gentleman in question probably pays more into OUR sport in a year  than most of us will pay in a lifetime .

So please , unless you know the facts , please refrain from spreading malicious gossip and lies.

Just as an afternote :-

If the said Gentleman was guilty of such a heinious crime to be banned by the CPSA?

Why have they subsequently chosen him to represent England on numerous occasions since the ban?

I love how you have put that in alphabetical order that is so you Will  :D

152 miles round trip on Saturday (I drove) and about 260 miles round trip yesterday (Tony drove)

I drove 18 hours to Italy, lovely couple of days
Yep, .done that journey to Garda as well.   Will do it again when time allows.   Personally I do long drives to comps as that's where you learn what you need to work on in practice and sort out. Got a long list this week which in itself is quite rewarding as I took a risk with my gun setup.. I now know that even though it worked ok-ish in practice it didn't when the pressure was on.

TBH id rather sit in the car looking at the countryside travelling to do something i'm really keen on doing ( even if it can be quite badly) than being sat at home infront of the rubbish on telly or doing something that isn't as interesting or can be done some other time.

Doing two long distance shoots a month even if you work still leaves 80 ish days at the weekend to do other things such as proper quality time with the family without wishing you were elswhere or do the mundain things that need to be done etc..

It all took place a long time ago and is probably best forgotten anyway. All that I would say is,  IF,  it had taken place today he would most CERTAINLY have had his Certificate revoked. I know of people who have lost their Certificates for a lot less and without any prosecution involved either.

Salopian, i know more than you think, but in the interests of the site i will not open a can of worms and as Wes says to much time has passed.........but i will never forget!

Do i regret my outburst..................NO
