Goes to show I am not influenced which gun to buy, as I have no idea who Bobby Bruce is ?

The rest of my reply would just be negative so no comment.

There should perhaps be an off topic page to allow the main post to stay on form without so many distractions.

So lets have more decorum on this forum.

OK guys, let's be honest, how many of us have been influenced into buying a particular make/type of gun just because our particular hero or a famous shooters uses a particular gun? It has happened to me and I freely admit it! How about you guys?
Nope, I just went to a village fair have a go stand, got thumped and thought sh*t, this is fun. I went to Oxford Gun Company, got fitted for a gun that suits my body type (lanky streak of piss if you havent met me) and bought my first Browning and never looked back.

Is it fair to say that Perazzi sales have been due to Olympic results in the UK or could there be anything else that could have influenced Sporting gun sales?

Is there anyone any good shooting  Sporting with a Perazzi ?

I did hear that a chap from Hastings was having a bit of a run of good luck.
"A run of good luck"? Time to put on your Tin Hat Pete!!!

I suppose that I was like most shooters thinking I could buy a target with a different gun.  Pretty much got to where Berettas gave me the idea that Italian guns agreed with me.  It took a few years to get to it but I stumbled into a deal on a Perazzi MT6 and I just gave up the quest after that and got rid of pretty much everything else.  'Cept for good deals on other Perazzis and now I seem to have accumulated enough to cover my needs.  And 15+ years later that MT6 is still there too.

I wonder how many would shoot a really really cheap horrible gun if they shot well with it or would vanity be strong enough to make them persevere with a more aspirational gun. I admit to the latter cos i am vain and part of the fun of shooting is the pleasure of ownership bit like owning a ferari even though a prius will do the same job.

Aye, point a 60 grand hand made piece in the wrong place and you will miss, point a £30 baikal in the right place and you will hit the clay - moral to the story, the chap/chapess behind the stock is the secret to hitting targets  -  not so much the gun or it's price.

Phil* :hunter:

Exactly which is why IMO you may as well shoot the best you can afford or whatever you like and get on with it. It wont neccasarily make you shoot better but hey ho

Well, i started shooting a Guerini the first year that Mike and Kevin started bringing them in.....finally got a certain friend of mine converted to them now....;)

Don't start something you cannot finish. Still waiting for news of L/Handers from Kevin.

May be forced to drive to Hampshire to collect my gun, and  a Labrador pup.
