Just Ordered My New Gun

Well I paid a visit to see Dennis at UK Gun Repairs and i've ordered myself a new CG Apex Trap 32" with the slightly raised Impact rib (not the really high rib) and whilst I was there I had a look at a 20Guage Siren Trap and I was so impressed with the dimensions and balance of this little gun I ordered one of those for my wife as well. We carefully laid it on top of her MX8 (fitted with Ergosign) and the stock was exactly the same set up. The difference is that the comb and grip is closer to the action, the gun is lighter and unlike her MX8 (which was a bit too heavy for her) is balanced better.  Dennis's new gun room is quite the alladins cave! In comparison to a lot of the gun shops i've been to, there's a large selection of some very nice Trap guns as well as a few sporters and game guns.

Good luck with that Jay see quite a lot of those on the stands down here... not the 32" though long barrels have not really either reached here or caught on.

Shot my CG Summit Ascent for the 2nd time yesterday at Owls Lodge... really happy !

Im not really a DTL shooter but shot 23/25 and then 24/25 all first barrel kills after shooting all the sporting stands so quite a good way to get through a slab of cartridges !

Jay have you shot one yet?

I tried a few at a Guerini day at Park farm a few years ago, and I thought they were ok but wanted to wait until they proved their reliability, which they clearly have. A few months ago I tried a 32" Sporter out on the OT range at OLSS and shot a good round with it with the sporting chokes in as well.

I need a 32" and I was going to buy a new Perazzi Protrap, but the only Gunshop that had a new one put me on hold for 15 minutes without offering to call me back so I decided not to spend my money with them.

Anyway I'm looking forward to shooting with a 32" again.
