Hi guys, anyone used the new Kent Velocity (the ones in a pinky red case) I used some of the old ones in the clear case some years back in fibre and found them a bit punchy and was wondering if the new ones in plastic are any better?

Main reason for asking is Just carts are doing a fiver of per thou on their bin ends in may and that brings them down to under £150/1000 a saving of £20 odd/1000 on Olympics

Clay shooting mag did a review on them last month I don't know if you could read up on them somewhere

Cheers Tonks, Just dug the mag out. I remember reading the bloody test now

Why buy cartridges from Just Cartridges, after delivery they are not cheap. Is there not a gunshop near you?

Fuz lives very nearby so delivery charge isn't an issue
Fair enough. But I do believe in supporting my local gun shop as much as I can, instead of just a stockist of cartridges and odds and ends.

I do support my locals, I am lucky to have 3 decent shops within 25 mins drive. The thing is all 3 stock limited brands and stocks of shells as they are well aware that most of the locals use JC for their carts

Sounds a bit like the Supermarket syndrome verses little shopkeepers. I wonder who will still be in buisness in the future.

Ive tried KENTS and found them to be quite ok, but through a semi auto you dont get much oomph coming back at you!!

I am afraid it is not always possible to patronise your local gun shop/dealer/shooting ground for carts. I always shop around and get the optimum price for my 1000 otherwise I cant shoot as regularly as i like to. In any case the nearest suplliers to me are E.J. Churchill who stock mostly game cartridges, Calyshootingsrus who are a bit hit and miss with their stuff and Sheephouse Shooting Supplies who until recently stocked my current cart Nobel Prima 28g plastic wad which I found to be very good for my needs. I am now trying Rio Target Load these are all price driven choices.

That bloked at Sheephouse was really miserable to me once... he's my local, but I'm not going back.

hes a funny git I agree Matt, but once you get to know him he is ok, could be I am just as bloody minded as he is and I outlasted him on the miserable git stakes!!!

Wasn't a good way to introduce a shoowing newbie to their local shop though - he lost me forever. I'm sure he has enough business to not worry about it.

I THINK HE DOESNT, I ALWAYS SEEM TO BE THE ONLY CUSTOMER, MIND YOU I DO GO LATE AT NIGHT, ONE GOOD THING HE IS OPEN TILL 8 EVERY EVENING SO I CAN GET TO HIM FROM MY CLIENTS ON THE WAY BACK HOME. It IS VERY CONVENIENT

HE IS CURRENTLY KNOCKING OUT HULL SUPERFAST 29g plastic AT £150 per 1000 which aint too bad

I used a box of Kents a couple of weeks ago Fuz ... they still kick me like a mule !! so they are not for me
