CZ bolt .22 (toying with the idea of swapping to a Rimfire Magic)

Diana Mod 22 in .177

HW80 in .177 running close to 20 ft lbs  not particularly nice or shootable, will get round to taming it one day (kept abroad)

HW90 in .22 was producing 22 ft lbs and utterly unshootable, detuned to 16.5 ft lbs and a firm favourite (kept abroad)

I have literally had dozens over the years, one favourite was an Airsporter in .22 when I was about 14 :) . I'd like a .17 Mach2 but just can't justify cabinet space, never really wished to get properly into bigger bores as I'm petrified of ricochets.

I don’t reckon you can beat the humble 22LR, I splat rats at 30 yards with CB’s, rabbits, crows and pigeons at 60-70 yards with subs and slightly bigger stuff at 100yds with high velocities, all cheap as chips too, a versatile little calibre. My gun is zeroed at 70 yards using subs and the zero is ideal for the other ammo at the ranges stated too. :)

hammy, more likely to get a riccochet of the .22 rimfire than anything else.

i got a hacked about ruger 10/22 for shooting the bunnies
Don't I know it, :yell: absolutely love the round as it's cheap, reliable, accurate, quiet, convenient (no bottles to feed) light to carry etc, etc but the ricochets mean I keep reaching for the FAC air! I have a sneaking suspicion that the .17 rounds aren't quite as ricochet free as they make out. I often think we simply hear the 40 grain bullet more easily because of the quietness of the silencer compared to supersonic rounds which must mask the odd ricochet?

I have a CZ style .22 R with a Bushnell Elite 4200 scope for rabbiting, a CZ 527 American in .223 with a fixed 8x56 Schmidt & Bender for foxing, and a Remmy 700 ADL in .243 with a fixed 6x42 Schmidt & Bender.

The Remmy was my deer rifle but I am just waiting on my ticket to come back from firearms licensing so I can pick up the CZ 550 synthetic in .308 I have on order.
