That's exactly what we did, and then went and shot 14 & 15, and then had a drink, and then had another drink.... and came back to queue for about 45 MINS for that stand....  just bad luck having a 4 pair stand, with breakdowns...  everything else, perfectly organised and the fact I could buy an ice cold diet coke out on a shooting ground was a thing of pure beauty.

I shot 1 pair on it (after vast wait) and it ran out! Overlead the battue twice for an eventual six.

Due to experimenting with glasses, I pretty much chose to miss one on the first stand (mucking about with leeed picture) so happy to still get guest HG then! Phew..

Not sure Will I know they called out 3 names all on 87, 1 was not there so they settled it on count back between the other 2

No worries it's not a reg shoot. :)

Kicking myself for what could easily have been a 91 though..

The "Ice cold in Alex" moment, highlight of the day.:)

About to have another, after an hours commute out of town :)

I spoke to Colin Ross today, organiser from Police side. He reckons he shot the course the day before and then asked for a few stands to be tamed down. He was not sure if they did so or not. He is keen to hear opinions of shoot. I told him that I thought it was great, but conceded that I am not his main target audience. It was certainly tougher than other police shoots and easier next time is the idea. Apparently only 5 shooters out of 228 (including guests) broke 80.

He had some ideas to make it flow better and would like to see more seating / drinks catering next time but was happy. I agree.

I believe full results are being compiled and should be available soon.

Clever, we did tame it down, the scores may reflect the tower birds as most police shoots don't do 120 ft towers, but I feel that's why folk like West London. If you think 1 to 8 were very easy straights?

But 10 and 14 I only half as I don't get to shoot towers.

Hi,

I love shooting at WLSS and I thought it was a superb shoot, but it would stand as a CPSA reg shoot difficulty wise. For the target audience you had (more occasional police shooting crowd) it was found to be a bit firm. Of course any course gets a touch harder (score wise) when it's 15 stands. 1 dropped target is a big percentage on 3 pairs.

Yep I suppose you 10 away before you start when you only get 6 goes.

Wait a minute! The sim teals and the sim aways were among stands 1-8! I dropped 8 out of my 13 losses between stands 1-8.

I guess one persons perception of easy is another's tricky.. maybe all that Fitasc you guys put on shifted your sense of 'easy'.

:) :)

Why is my writing so small? they are all shot by myself A Class and Ed C class  also some of our ground staff who don't shoot at all so we should get it right I hope.

I shot round with wil ( well shot mate) I thought some of stands between 1-8 were tricky and far from straightable although i had a bad day (not reading targets at all well) the shoot was great and really enjoyable, lots of variety i am  glad i went.personally i did a lot better on 9-14.

It was on a par maybe a touch more than one of your shoots Steve.

Nice to shoot in the sun as well.
