Anyone had any problems with a stiff floor plate on a miroku. When the barrels are off and you push the top lever across, the floor plates comes up a little very easily, then goes stiff for the remainder of its travel. Anyone had this before?

The lever and plate in the bottom of the action that releases the locking bolt on closing the gun. When you open the gun the barrels pull this lever and plate up, whick then locks the cross bolt in the back position, when you close the gun in releases the bolt. When the gun is open it is open in the belly of the action looking similar to a trap door. Don't know what it's proper name is?

I think that you are refering to the "floorplate"?
That's the kiddy, thanks Guru will amend the title.

Think the problem is when the part of the floor plate that drops into the bolt in the action floor, the bolt might not be going far enough back for it to drop in, or something is stopping it dropping in the holding hole easily. Have got a Browning that works freely so will have to compare the two, only difference is this one has an auto safe pinned in it also.
