It's not your sugestion per se, it's the thought of actually doing it!  The value of the gun would be trashed, but there again it's only a beretta?I'll just go and get my tin hat now?
You are right the value would be diminished BUT if someone who hates a particular facet of a gun is daft enough to go out and buy a gun which has it, it would be a good way of pacifying their mind... and of course you are correct.

NONE TAKEN

for the record this daft bloke bought said gun despite it being a multichoke which indeed I do hate on a trap gun (I can see the benefit for sporting and or an all round gun) because to the best of my knowledge a Beretta 692x trap is not available fixed choke and I particularly wanted this specific gun for a very specific purpose ie DTL

I didn't bother replying to your post re having it made fixed by soldering the chokes in as I do not make a habit of offending ANYONE however that was before you called me daft so for that reason I will now reply.... It's a bloody stupid idea almost laughable and I can only assume it was tongue in cheek if not then you are going daft in the head.

I will insert a smiley thing but read into the above whatever you see fit ? there you go.

if you don't want to read it\contribute to it, then why make a stupid comment? Just read the title and move on to something that does ring your bell.

I clean mine after every time I shoot as I clean the gun. No biggie and I quite like the satisfaction of a clean gun after shooting. Each to their own and all that, mind.
indeed.

either I am getting sensitive in my old age or folk on forums (not just this one) are becoming more aggressive and down right rude with the written word just lately.

if folk don't like a specific topic or specific person then as nick says just ignore the post. Lately I have been slated on another forum (I wont go into it) to an extent that I left, I have been told to "get a room" purely for a couple of humorous posts with a friend of nearly thirty years, then the above slating for what was a serious question and one that opened an interesting debate, then I get called daft.

I am really losing my patience recently ?

Better being called daft than a brown shirt facist for expressing an opinion about leaving the f****** sh** EU.

He'd better not leave Sian!!!!  Can't have this place being taken over by young trendies, old buggers like IPS and myself need somewhere to moan about things.  :D

Nah, he will just take it on the chin and carry on.......................like one of them budgies (or parrots) toys, you belt em and they just keep standin up again !

Interesting topic I have muller chokes now so can't get gun in cabernet with out taking them out

But when I had flush chokes in my browning I would clean barrels with legia spray which would run down and go behind choke threads anyway so only removed them once a month or so no probe with sticking

don't you have to remove Mullers after every shot anyway just to check they haven't cracked, split, warped or degraded in some other way detrimental to use?!

I won't take over ips topic with another discussion on muller cracked chokes that's been done to death
feel free my friend, thread drift is quite usual and indeed welcome ?

Thanks. Ips but I have nothing to say really I have 5 and have had no problem with them and now several people that use them with no probs

Just whip em out now and again, polish em up and stick em back out of site,

as for chokes, make sure they are tight before a line....

Remember one UT shoot at Rugby, when I was asked to quote for new barrels, as he had not seated his choke properly, gas pressure had got behind the choke and bulged the barrel out, squashed the tube in, then he hadnt noticed, so next shot put the choke down range and split the tube wide open.....

Nice new SC3 barrels please.......
