Whoever does your woodwork, yourself or your stocker make sure they waterproof the inside of the head and the inside of the forend else in severe rain you'll have a toplever that hits the sidewood and a forend that won't come off till its dry.

This is not a critisism of Perazzi or any other make, as we all know recent Berettas have been suffering from this same fault, but it seems like modern guns are only suited to being used indoors.

Surely being relatively unfinished in this way they could be described as "not fit for purpose" and be liable for warranty claims when allowed to get wet in the Great British outdoors?

Is this a recent cost cutting exercise or has it always been this way? I've never had a gun suffer from this, and mine go out in all weathers, but all mine are pre 1992 and still going strong.     It makes me wary of buying anything new.  :fie:
