Just looked at the squad list, was wondering why they have squaded the whole lot in 5's, the odd squad to equal it up is the norm, but not the whole shoot....

anybody know why??

Prob to make the squads more flowing and even them out between layouts, it's the NCSC so I could be totally wrong though, all the years I've shot there don't think it's ever ran smoothly!

Using 4 layouts so the shoot is balanced making 16 squads, unusual to be all 5 man squads though. Could've used 3 layouts and had 15 squads with lesser 5 man squads. Only 2 to ref here as electronic scoreboard and one card.

Somewhat windy and changeable light.

Here's something more interesting than squad numbers. Little Eze, IPS's Cocker and Milo, my Lab. Little and large.

It went well with 16 x 5 man squads balanced across 4 layouts.  No messing with the control box etc. and evetyone shot the same layouts the same number of times. (A layout was a pig in the wind in the morning)

Timing between squads was just right. Enough time between lines not to be a rush but went through without having to wait too long.

It was a tough shoot, purely from the weather conditions, only 15 shooters on 180+ out of 81 starters.  Ed Ling is in a class of his own and his 193 proved that, trouble is he's landed us all with a hefty points deficit.

The wind played havoc with some targets and the light was ever changing so visibility wasn't so good at times.  The 16 x 5 man squads worked well. First squads went out at 9.40am and the shoot was finished by 2.45pm on both days. There were a couple of breakdowns but all in all it was a good shoot.  Barry and staff are to be commended.

Tidy score Phil. Pity about that 20 on the last round.

I shot the OT at Nutty yesterday and blew a good score with a 19 on round 2. Still shot a PB though 88 ex 100 (23,19,24,22)

I was just 2 away until the final five targets and then missed the 22nd, 23rd and 24th. Completely gutted is a major understatement.

You had a tidy score at Nutty, pity about the 19 but a PB is still a good result. The stock alterations seem to be having the desired effect.

Bisley was a great weekend and a good shoot my 89 on Sunday was better than the pitiful 81 on sat but the wind made it a lottery to some extent. Phil shot very well indeed, a class act I reckon.

Eze and milo had a good time too.

We stayed on the ground in the caravan and are currently in Warwick for two days.

Yes it was tough on sat and many of us were playing catch up on Sunday

But as always Bisley is a great place to shoot. A very weird place a sort of propper English gaff and any shooter who hasn't been needs to.

It is quirky especially with all the rifle shooting going on around .

Defo going to have another go at Full bore target shooting when I get time. Watching them shoot  the 1200 yds range next to the clay ground is impressive. Especially in such a strong and gusty side wind.

I've always enjoyed shooting the clay comps there.

All the shoots I've attended have been very well run. Staff on hand at the start and finish of each squad to keep things running smoothly.
