No idea - just offering it up as a potential solution to a gun requirement for a lady.  So the reviews say, it solves some of the common problems that SOME ladies have with guns...

They in the shops yet?
No, but if you call Anglo-Italian arms they had about half a dozen left to sell this year I think. They aren't arriving until July but there is one demo gun around. I think it's going to snap up the section of the market that would have otherwise bought silver pigeon 20G.

I know mate, hence the winking smiley! :)

Just seemed a great opportunity to say it.
I know, I wanted to put a shaking head smile thingy after it but don't know how. Guess I won't be having my bacon, sausage and mushroom on toast after shooting when she starts coming with!

A friend of mine was given a CG Siren a few months back and she gave it straight back, everyone who saw/shot it agreed it was basically a game gun with some 'female' orientated engraving.

Looked nice tho.

Nobody has mentioned a S/A yet..........(tin hat on  :fie:  and hiding in the corner).

I believe (and maybe wrong) - but based on the Ian Coley open day, that all Syrens slated for this year have been sold.

(Including one to my wife after shooting one)

The action is the same, but the monte carlo stock, thinner hand grip and fore end made a big difference - i.e. it fitted!

A gun that fits, how novel.

No offence to any lady shooters but there are many that seem to get on very well with man guns. They will make a cartridge specifically for women next and possibly even young people !

Adjustable combs and a saw to shorten the stock are apparently now on the drawing board to enable all shooters of varying shapes and sizes to adapt a gun to there liking.

I love innovation.

Not really my business - but why are some people so down on the Syren?

When we tried to get my wife a gun we tried everything we could find and because of the poor fit out of the box, there was nothing we felt that she could buy knowing it would work for her. So we ended up with the normal 20g Silver Pigeon, because it was sufficiently small out of the box for her to at least get an idea (still had to have a couple of inches trimmed off the stock and the cast greatly increased).

With the Syren, this wasn't necessary - which made a great difference, simply because she could shoot it from the get go without guessing.

Could all the changes be done to any gun? Yes, absolutely - but it would not be cheap, thinner fore-end, adjustable comb, stock shortening and reducing the radius on the grip would all cost.

We'd happily spend that money, but it's nice not having to and nice being confident that the gun will work for her without that expense.

Now if you're a high-end gun shooter, you're probably experienced enough not to need that a feeling - but for us mere mortals starting on the journey, or part way through it - it's welcome.

I refer you to Eley Amber and Eley rebel!

As for the Cyren, seems like a good idea to me

When you say given do you mean she just picked it up from the display or was she being given it as a sponsored gun from Guerini ???

Only asking because all the guns ordered won't be here until July from Italy

What do you class as a game gun ???

It was given mate.

It was very light weight, (guess that is the point with it being aimed at women) it is as i'm led to believe, a modified Tempio after all.

It did fit me fine tho with my supermodel cheek bones and fairy liquid hands.  :D

Well nivea works well i hear.

The weight surprised me - we weighed the demo gun at Ian Coley last week, 30 inch barrels and was dead on 8lbs

I was expecting lighter, but have to say - balance was very nice

Hey Liz!

Hopefully July, if not September (depending on shipment from Italy).

The day Karen get's it - we'll drop you a line, anytime you want!
