After shooting pistols and rifles for over 30 years I finally got around to purchasing a shotgun last April.

Not knowing whether I'd enjoy it enough to justify an expensive gun, I picked up an old over under 12 gauge Baikal IZH-27 like a friend's I'd borrowed for a casual trap outing to the Boulder, CO VFW 20+ years ago.

I took it to Coyote Valley Sporting Clays a half hour from my home, enjoyed that, and made enough repeat visits to burn through 2750 shells.

When my wife suggested getting a new gun for my birthday, I went shopping and ultimately ordered a 32" Caesar Guerini Summit Sporting with adjustable comb. It should make it through California's 10 day waiting period in time to shoot for Presidents Day weekend.
