Topic: ESC Chris Strange Memorial Shoot – Skeet Shooters dig deep in memory of a colleague
Yesterday at Dartford the English Skeet Club held the Chris Strange Memorial Shoot.
It was a fantastic day’s shooting which attracted 53 guns and in breezy conditions Allen Warren shot 100 straight followed closely by Mickey Dore and Darren Wood on 99.
Using the ESC sudden death shoot-off format which gives winners of all classes a chance at the Overall trophy, Albert Taylor beat off the remaining challengers to take the trophy.
In an incredible show of support by ESC Members for Chris’s widow Marie Strange, by means of contributions, raffle and an auction just over £ 575.00 pounds was raised for her in Chris’s memory. To this already substantial amount, Kelly, Scott and Dartford Clay Shooting Club added £ 250.00 making a grand total of just over £ 825.00 !
When accepting this gift, Marie expressed her sincere gratitude and commented that she was really touched by this incredibly generous gesture from her true friends at the ESC.
The ESC has once again shown the extent of support and camaraderie amongst its member Skeet Shooters
