Pound of used lead is about 20 cartridges - have a look near the pattern plate Peter or sift some sand at hodnet.

It may be of interest to some people ( like GavB) Hodnet is open on Tuesdays for Sporting and Skeet practice, besides the regular Thursday opens. Haven't had a Saturday free for months so unable to get to Seeland for OT practice, how about a shootclay day midweek at Seeland and / or Hodnet?

I asked that when I booked and was met with a rant from mr Florent about how that had never been the case there! Bizarre as I remember having to buy them there to shoot a few years ago.

The answer is no, any fibres are OK.

This is true about the noise issue, myself and TipTop chipped up with a group of about 10 shooters (few years back mind) and were told when we got there we could not use our usual 28g std clay shells. We got stitched up by having to buy sub sonic shells from them. A very costly day. It would have been cheaper for us all to jump in the motors and drive to Upavon. The guy that took us round must have got out of the bed the wrong side, rushing us round with the personality of the grim reaper! What a crap day, I will not go back!
