The Gran Mondiale is 200 targets over 3 days.. 75, 75 & 50. Friday, Saturday To get into the finals for each class and for the Perazzi cup and overall winner etc you have to have entered all 3 days ( 200 targets).
However there are cash prizes to be won in each class on each day.
There is an opportunity to enter for any one day to shoot for the daily prize fund on that day. I guess that an option if you live local and can't make all the days but it is expensive to do individually.
Ther has now been an additional separate 50 target shoot added on the Thursday for a Daniel Perazzi cup with a high grade gun up for grabs. There's not much money to be won and aparrently expensive to enter. Of course everyone can have their day but it'll be shot by the best in the world so you pay your money and takes your chances on this one.
As for the classification. The general standard of OT shooters in Italy is much higher than in Blighty. To work out which one you should be in..
It roughly works out as:-
If you've shot for a National team = Excellnte.
A CLASS = CLASS 1
B CLASS = CLASS 2
C & D = Class 3
Its s fantastic shoot and if your a trap shooter should be done ay least once..
