My f3 is 10 years old and has never let me down once, there was a few nigles with some of the first ones but they will have had the mods if problems were found.

I´ve got 3 Blaser F3´s , one for skeet 71cm barrels , a super comp for sporting with 81cm barrels and a Super Trap also with 81cm barrels and have not had any problems what so ever. I go through about 12-13000 cartridges a year and other than clean them after shooting i´ve not had to touch them.

I can't relate any first hand info ref the Blaser tho I do know one person that uses one and is quite satisfied with it.  Personally I have an irrational avoidance syndrome for anything kraut so that takes care of those and any other kraut guns for me.  Wholly aside from K-guns being simply to ugly to own.

As a long time Perazzi user I would be tempted to recommend them.  But what it really comes down to is what meets your needs in the best way.  And how big a hit you can tolerate when it no longer does and something else will be the magic wand.  Blaser may not fit that aspect well at all.

just sayin'

Another biased opinion but Krieghoff are in a league of their own.

i can arrange demos as part of a lesson should you want to try out the various options and to have a chat about spec etc.

" Another biased opinion but Krieghoff are in a league of their own."

And so are Aston Villa !

Hmmm.  A quandary to be sure.  I am in entirely the same boat.  I wanted to go to Perazzi to get one fitted to me.  I think they are beautiful guns and feel alive in the hands.  I did buy an MX12 SC3 some time ago, but that damn thing shot 3ft high at 30yds and kicked like a mule.

Lesson 1; don't buy a gun just because it looks pretty!

However, my finances have me in a position to get one done,.....that was until I picked up a K80 Parcours recently and shot it without missing.......Hmmmm.  Now I personally don't like K80's.  Just personal preference of course, but the K80 Parcours feels alive but steady in the hands.  I am now hovering over getting a Parcours ordered.  I would like to have a few more shots with one though.  I like the thought of the 10 year guarantee and german engineering. (I am an engineer in the Car industry and know how the germans do their thing)!  I intend to buy a gun and shoot it for the next 10 years at least.

For me it is either a Perazzi or the New Parcours...........

This is like comparing apples, bananas and grapefruit! All three are very individual and it would depend entirely on what you normally like in a gun. I have never tried a Blaser but have shot a K80 and MX2000S. My personal take was the Kreighoff was horrible and the Perazzi was very fast in the hands and needed a lot of taming. One thing is for sure, the vast majority of guns you buy second hand will NEED work to get it to fit to your requirements and measurements...

Hiya mate, I have the trap barrels and a custom stock on there which I shoot everything with.

you can have literally any spec you like though.

:D :D  Wonko did you know Aston Villa was owned by Randy Learner an American????

They are in Dire Straights and not even Mark Knopfler could save them.

Interesting to see all the fluffy rabbits on this thread , it only goes to show that many of us have brand loyalty and will never deviate.

Interestingly Geordie Boy a person who knows Miroku's inside out is now ankering after a £10,000 German made one , because as an experienced Car Engineer he knows German Engineering expertise ??? Geordie have you never heard of Honda & Toyota?

I think you must have been holding it upside-down . It didn't do that when I had it!

I spent 7.5 years working in Japan Salopian for Nissan.    I have even been given a Japanese name!!!    There is little I don't know about the Japanese people for sure!  Their steel is the best in the world.  They assemble en-masse, better than most and their attention to detail is ultimately fastidious.  I have no qualms about my Mk38, and enjoy shooting with it.  It won't move on from me that is for sure!!!!!

Nonetheless, I have shot Best English Guns and a Perazzi or two, and there is nothing quite like the ownership of something tailored to you.  Do I think it will get me into AA Class???........No.  Do I think I will enjoy it and maybe add 1% to my scores....yes.  It has to.  If I enjoy the gun to look at and shoot, and it shoots where I look, then all of that is Psychological and that is a lot to have on your side.

So Salopian;

Watashiwa yoku juwoutsu koto wa deki-masen. Demo honto ni Shikashi watashiwa satsuei ga daisuki!

Your fellow Shooter

Kitajima Yoshi-michi!   :D

p.s. You won't find that little lot in Roger Mellies Profanosaurus!
