£1200 sounds like a relative bargain for a UK sourced stock of that quality.
If you are worried about the stock cracking; then maybe stick to the MX12 action in preference to the MX8. The MX12 does not have a removable trigger unit - so there is more wood in that part of the stock.
The down side of that is that the MX12 has coil springs as compared to the MX8's leaf springs..........But the trigger pulls on my MX12 are absolutely fine.
If it must be an SC3 then you are limiting yourself to a much smaller pool of possible guns than if you considered std grade/SC2/Mx2000/GD etc etc models. Given the variety of specs available (viz my earlier posts) it will be a miracle if you find a used SC3 that is EXACTLY what you are looking for. No harm in trying though.......
There was an interesting one (SC3) available privately on Guntrader a couple of weeks ago - but it did have very light barrels. I havent checked whether it is still there.
