Ah express then ?

Not meaning to sound funny but i didn't think you could get any cheaper than power blue ?

First rule of all cartridge manufacturer websites. They are crap in most respects..
Wonder why? I bought a slab of power blue on sunday and amongst the piles of carts there were no power reds.........

I did some spent ambers in a bin though.....

Quick review of the cartridge in question. Power Blue plas wad 7.5's

Shot 100 at Kelbrook the other day and was delighted with them. Average recoil through a Perazzi game gun with very good kills at all ranges. Shot a fast going away edge on battue and it broke it convincingly with 3/8ths choke. Bores were also very clean at the end of the session.

Paid £160 for a thousand. Can't see me using anything else unless the price goes up. Very pleased with my 91 on a tough course.

I've used English Sporters and D&J but these are definately a level above.

PM.

1000 power Red 27g 7 1/2 bought from Churchills today.
They'll be gone by Sunday so will report back.
There fast as owt cheap as chips bit punchy and don't half make you're barrels hot! But they work

Jem !
Gone off the Eley's have we?
Local price for oly blues £185 Pete.
They can bite me.
Lainy and I are eating shells at the mo (1000 a week) so the price has to be right.

There are plans a foot with Anglo for a joint project to get the right price.

Jem !

That's about £500 a week + Burgers and Coffee on a hobby ???????

Have you tried sex? If you don't give houses away it may be cheaper.

Ha, I gave a very nice house away :)

The 1st mrs nutcase decided it was too nice for her so she sold it and pocketed a very tidy package then moved onto the next unsuspecting mug who also had a nice house to give away. Then she moved in with her elderly father rent free and awaits the result.

synical moi !!!

I have been shooting Power Blue again recently. I have had about 3 occasions (about 1 per 250) where the cartridge has sounded flat / quiet. In each case the clay has broken OK and overall I still like them. Just thought I would mention.

Looked at the Power Blue but decided to try the Power Red in both fibre and plastic wad being the same spec as the Superfasts.Break the clays well enough but kick more than Superfasts that I normally use, noticed how hot the barrel/s get with them especially the fibre wad version. My son and me used my semi auto at a local shoot,go round as a squad after my son shot ten on a stand passed me the gun and when loading the first cart, tipped the gun over and nearly branded my hand on the barrel and rib. Had to ask for some one to shoot my place to let the gun cool.

Finding a cart you like in your price range isn't hard its consistent supply that buggers it up for most of us.

Thanks for that, I was considering trying the Express 'blues and reds' against my usual Superfasts, but I will stick with the Hull. If you  are experiencing trouble getting the Suprefasts, give Hull a call. I have found them very helpful to deal with.
