Saturday reg, nice and local, Prescotts is a tight ground, laid out in a valley, today's shoot was an 11 stand offering,  nothing needing a telescope to see, there was one stand if a pair of simo Orange that looked like they were on the end of the barrel, closest targets, my worst stand :-(

Dan uses a fairish tower, today a standard with a midi on report was probably the "toughest" pair. As the course is in a valley and the Cotswolds is tad high the wind when it blows like today did play a few tricks, I'd be fibbing if I said it cost me targets but it did cost my squad members a couple. As fir my day I'm indebted to Nick Portlock and Derek Ponting for a pleasant shoot, I find I'm far more disciplined when in good company and a prat when I'm on my own, thanks for the day guys. Saw briefly Stew Keen Shortlegs and a few others, hope the numbers entry wise work for the ground as its a decent enough place, people and shoot.

Oh, Carl Bloxham took high gun, think they put up the placing on FB

Good to see you Rich the sim orange pair hurt my card too , the tower targets were a good pair that took some hitting came off with 50% I didn't touch the midi but a few in my squad shot it very well.. nice ground if a little tight but think I would go back as there were some good targets a few commented that the sim orange was a waste of cartridges and think they could have given a second target on report crossing through the trees perhaps, but all in all an enjoyable morning out with good company and plenty of chat and laughter.

I thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and can put it down to two main reasons. Firstly, I really like the ground and target presentations that Dan puts on. Secondly, I was lucky enough to follow Steve Lovatt and Brian (Choke) on most of the stands which I firmly believe added a few breaks to my card as I was able to see how it should be done.

I was able to get a new personal best score of 77 with a few stands straighted which I was thrilled with; especially as the last shooting I had done was on the Wednesday night and that was an attempt at Compact Sporting which resulted in a score card of 10/50!!

Gareth, those simo orange, managed to drop a complete pair there :-( sorry that I left before you and Stew etc had finished, for some reason I thought you fellows had all left, hopefully be able to chew the fat etc on one of the next Saturday reg they have??

No probs Rich did you get placed with your score as you beat me well buddy the sim orange I came out with 50% I found it very difficult to see the second target against the back ground even though it was quite close must be old welders eyes  , we hadn't left we got held up a little as Dan was giving instruction on one stand and we had to wait to shoot it, good range of targets and as Ive said enjoyable morning out .... look frward to catching up with you soon for a chin wag
