First visit here, will admit the 100reg the reason as although open some Saturdays Coleys is closer and easier for me to get to, also I haven't shot a reg for two months, I've done a fair bit of practice and a lesson yes but no reg shoots.

Rocked up about midday, brief chat to old mate Tim McCarthy who told a tale of stands getting much harder from 6 upwards, saw Jason who was just about getting over being beaten up by a rabbit!

The ground is quite tight, intimate almost and the reg shoots are run by squadding, the ground does not look as if it lends itself to those less mobile, though am sure the ground would assist.

Lots of the regular faces around, and joined a squad that included Nick "Chipper" Portlock, Kevin Child's, Kirk Bridges and two guys that unforgivably I didn't ask names of. We started at 1 and shot straight through the 11 stands, yes a few no bird issues and one flat battery did lengthen the day but not unreasonably so.

Personally I had a great start straighting three of the first 4 stands, I even found a pair of Simo looping r-l and a big :) on these chops, then four lost teal saw me back to earth, stand 6 I think it was a pretty standard teal target into the trees and a high r-l crosser with a short window, hit a pair but dropped 8, fared better on the high driven a report pair of one standard one even higher mini, and the rabbit that tripped up Jason I found, luckily I didn't get any " bouncing bunnies" that blighted the rest if my squad, just as the smile reappeared next up was then a report pair of orange targets in the trees I just " lost" vision wise not helped by the low sun and dense wood, the final stand had a distant l-r midi that I never got near apparently it's a "card filler" in Dubai standards!!

Ended on 67, which is a stellar improvement on my last few reg scores, Chris Childerhouse was high gun, Nick Portlock took 1st in AA where I think Steve Lovatt was 2nd and Kirk was 3rd, also one if the two guys in our squad that I rather shamefully didn't ask name of shot an 85 to win B, he did shoot well, as our two main waits no bird wise, he was in the stand and still straighted the stand.

There's another reg here end November its worth a visit if you get the chance, although do plan to be a while.

The results still not posted to cpsa! Seems a bit slow considering the ones from Longridge from 2nd November are up.
