I have a Beretta DT11 and although the gun is really great for sporting clays, I have encountered 2 problems that are worrisome.

First I have detected a crack on both sides of my wood fore arm that are right next to the area where the forearm attaches to the action.

The cracks are hairline, but tey seem to be running bigger each time.

The other problem  is that the gun has started to give me problems if I select the top barrel. I just wont shoot. I have to select the lower barrel in order to shoot that first and then the top barrel will fire.

This is very frustrating for a $9.2K gun.

The gun only has arround 7500 shells on it

Is there any soluction to this?

I'd suggest you Dig out the warranty and trundle back to the dealer from whom you purchased it from.

Maybe remove the bead aswell, might be less painful. :D

I'll be amazed if they offer to replace the fore end woodwork. Woodwork seems to be specifically excluded from most manufacturers warranty programmes. ? Mate of mine had a lightly used 692 that cracked right through the hand of the stock. No way would Beretta replace it so he ended up buying a new stock from GMK and then promptly sold it as it had somehow lost its ownership appeal. ??

The sale of goods act applies to everything doesn't even really matter how old it is as long as it is not fit for the purpose it was sold for.

Both these faults will be covered under that but getting GMK to accept that is another thing as my experience of there customer services tells me they don't no sh*t and don't care!

I suggest you ring them explaining your problem and see where you go if its a negative get a solicitor to right them a letter or alternatively make a claim through the county court they can be surprising reasonable.

As an example i know somebody who just had there 4 year old washing machine replaced as it could have been reasonably expected to last longer than it did with low use even though it only had a 12 month warranty.

How long have you had the gun and did you buy it new?
