having tried a 15mm raised rib today, i'm just curious what disciplines these ribbed guns are/were designed for and why use them?
Looking at teh world cup in london, only Ed Ling used a 15mm raised rib out of the finalists, the rest flat. Yet in the qualifiers several used them.
In the double trap loads if not all had them.
Is it of use for ABT/UT/OT? whats the theory behind them? And why the range of 15-50mm raised ribs?
The only thing i can think of is around head positioning and better visibility when holding the gun high?
Does anyone on here use one and if so why?
