Got my little sample bottle of Clenzoil, never seen such a small bottle so you are never coming to my house at Hogmany.
I did however use it on an alrerady cleaned 682, The gun has been already cleaned in the past two weeks with a cordless drill and a Payne Galway bronze brush, using Legia and once using Youngs 303, this was the cleanest I have had it in many months, it was I thought better than new, I have a new Beretta 687 that has only fired the bottom barrel 4 times and the top barrel never,so I know what it should be like new.
I soaked a 4x2 patch and swabbed the barrel a few times and left it two minutes, impatience.
Then used several more 4x2 patches to swab out the grey muck and some more kitchen cloth to swab out the remaining mess that I never could see was in there, I really don't believe how much more this stuff was able to clean my already clean as I thought it clean gun.
It does have a smell of acetone so would never use it on oiled stocks, or near recoil pads with a leather face. As it can expand it will be the petrolium/acetone compound distillates in the mix that is doing the expansion and will be more evident in warm temperatures. I just would not be able to trust the mix on an oiled stock.
I would use this stuff everytime to clean my barrels if I was able to get some in shops near to me, in my view the price point is not right with other similar products in the marketplace.
Will it replace Legia or Youngs 303 and Express or Napier as your main products,probably not as we seem to like tin cans here and a price point way lower.

If this cleaner contains 'acetone' as has been implied, you might just as well mix some of the wifes nail varnish remover with some youngs '303' (or similar) and see how that cleans and lubricates!!!!! Do not get it in a cut though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mick that sounds like a lethal combination mate! I think I will stick with the tried and trusted stuff.
Told you it was a small bottle.In that case I doubt that I shall be using it.
I am told if you buy a large bottle you get a free browning with it

To be fair - it didn't cost a pound. It was free, you paid a pound for the envelope, stamp and time of the Clenzoil people.
Which, you'll get back if you order from them. If you don't, which I suspect you won't - then you'll need to write off the pound. Maybe its tax deductible?
That seems like a pretty good deal. Can't complain that something free is too much, especially when it gets even more free later on.

I stated facts, never complained. A pound is a pound so there.

I'm so happy to hear such a small sample went such a long way!!
I'm 100% sure that Clenzoil does not contain Acetone but I have scheduled a conference call with America tomorrow nonetheless, so I'll get this answered correctly.

Something strange has happened to my pencil.....
I rubbed it in for a while and its gone from a 4b to a 5h...

I bought some Clenzoil yesterday online and it was at home today on my return from a lesson at N&DGC. As a Newb I need something to clean my gun. Unfortunately newbs don't have anything to compare it to.
All I can say is that I put a small amount down the barrels a quick clean with the bronze brush couple of pieces of kitchen roll and they were like new.
Not a great review but it does what it's supposed to.
