I am somewhat disturbed by the trend on here sometimes to denigrate or take offence at comments made by fellow posters on the site I do not speak from personal experience rather more observation of certain threads.

I may not agree with what you have to say or indeed understand the full complexity of your comments or arguments, I may equally find your comments or opinions totally repugnant or wholly misguided ,as you may well find mine to be also.

I do however defend unto the death your right to express such opinions or thougts and take them as your opinion nothing more, my world will not fall apart because of the opinions you might express nor undeed will yours regarding mine. I do not take offence at your remarks only measure them in the cointext of my discussions with you or others on the site.

Perhaps we all should employ a little perspective regarding the comments posted on the site and respond and reply accordingly

Yours in Honest debate

Sorry folks the subject line should read Right to hold not tight !

If you're saying live and let live, respect others comments, as well as silence, show dignity and restraint, don't go looking for a rise, keep quiet when you have nothing worthwhile to add, listen once in a while, don't insult just because you disagree, etc etc, then absolutely. :)

Agreed with all - so should I start kicking people off the site when they cannot comment without getting personal?

it leads to open warfare, yes you should , with the exception of Clever cos he deserves it !! :)

if you kick everybody who gets personal off, you dont have forum. i think you have been a little overzealous with the closing of the 4c's thread.i ve heard worse in the playground

I'll get me coat..

ugly??? who called me ugly?? I resemble that remark!!

Personal is ok to point but insulting is not.

i think its only the topics that the administrators don't agree with, not a forum in my view !!!!!

A forum is exactly that an exchange of opinions and positions, humorous put downs, general fluffy rabbits and mickey taking is all fair and part of the site. It however not a matter of life and death if someone disagrees with your viewpoint, it is just a difference of opinion. I just dont see how that cannot be dealt with in a civilised manner, just because one doesnt get the response one was hoping for doesnt mean the world or the forum is against one,it just means you hold an opinion that not all agree with. As I said before a little perspective might be useful.

As for hearing worse in a playground, we are not children we are adults.

This must be pointed at me so lets try and get to the bottom of all this.

If you look at the 4C thread and the 21 gram thread together, and then take out your bias towards 4C, most of the debate was caused by yourselves trying to suport 4C and not open up to any sort of criticism.

For example look at the reply i recieved on the 21g thread when i asked if the price was reduced or just the number of cartridges? The reply was not the kind you would expect for a potential customer to receive .

I dont go on hear to tell every one what time i'm going to a shoot, i use the phone for that. But if i have a bone to pick thats different.

"You lot" even created a thread on 4C scorers, to help the ground and i agreed except for the winnings part. You can defend 4C all you like but a stamp with the winnings in an envelope makes sence surely? Defending them keeping the winings because your local to the shoot only helps keep shooting in the dark ages.

Alot of people on this blog talk out because its faceless and too easy. I'm not like that i speak my mind and if you havent the balls for some constructive critism then take me off your blog. And by doing so show all users of this blog what your all about.

Speaking ones mind is essential, reacting to robust debate and argument is essential, with the right degree of perspective is all I am saying.

For the record Jim I am not local to 4 COUNTIES by any means,it is quite a trek for me to get there. I just like to patronise grounds where there is a good welcome and value for money I dont defend the ground, the ground and its owners speak for themselves. which is evidneced by the numbers who shoot there on a regular basis.
