Don't know if anybody on here has heard of anything like this, but a colleague was speaking in the past couple of days to a shooter who was selling his gun. When enquired as to why he was selling, he stated that he was a Diabetic and his Shotgun Certificate Renewal had been refused because of his Diabetes and because he was using Insulin?

Considering the alleged millions of Diabetics in this country, of which I am one (although do not use Insulin), this sounded a matter of great concern.

Anybody on here have any knowledge, comments or points of view?

My guess/hope is that it would be dependent on the specific circumstances, and, like many illnesses which may or may not be relevant, there wouldn't / shouldn't be a blanket approach applied. This made an interesting read on the issue:
