No, he means the ShootClay sew on "Patch", hence the thread title and everyone referring to it as a "Patch".

It is not a "Badge"...  :cigar:

I have always associated a patch as being something to repair clothing, like this:-

I would never have done this to a suit I would have thrown it away!  How come our future heir has to try to appear to be penny-pinching!

Mind you I wouldn't have paid over £3k for a suit!
