Well - I do most of the time, and would prefer to - but given this summer and the likelihood of shooting in the UK equivalent of the Somme each week, boots have been essential. Of course, if you are only waving your gun around to miss the clays, it might not be so much of an issue...

What are these Trainers you talk of?

One has Leather made foodwear and Wellies for inclement shooting. :wink:

 
My trainers are leather and I simply stay at home when it's really 'inclement' .

Was wearing Hunters for many years then changed to Aigle,got two pairs, one the neo lined with a heavy sole, can't fault them, also got a pair of Dunlop Purofort(farmer wellies/non safety) best of all,they are not made of rubber and have air in the material that keeps you warm,they are also very light, I use them when fishing. Muck boots are popular aswell.
