Yup I like 32" and my next gun will be a 33 or a 34" and those of you that know me will know I'm just a wee whisp of a lad!don't see how someone's height determines what barrell length they should have. Many slightly built shooters prefer 32 even 34" barrells with 2" extended chokeys. And many great big shooters prefer short uns.
Ian I may be wrong, but wasn't your parker hale made by Winchester /Nikko?ps
the cheap as chips parker hale did not let me down other than a firing pin at nine yrs old I may be
I wish I'd got one as my first gun mate! A sad day when that factory closed! All seems like yesterday, but its a long while back now pal!indeed it was les and a fine gun it was 804 trap lovely engraving.
the supreme is an older model iirc.Is the supreme any better than the premier on the silmas
didn't you look at a PH game a few years ago ?I've quite fancied having an 804, Grand European or Nikko Supreme.
.................
my first gun was a supreme and I couldn't fault it. I just moved on and it was a sad day when I eventually sold it to help pay for my wedding.
I took your advice and went to introduce myself to our new neighbours, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, so looking forward to a good relationship with both of them. Funny but they do not seem able to recall you though !you may have had a lemon les. My tame smith who I have known for fourth years deals in them and rates them as value for money and lets be honest at the money the op is talking you can't go wrong, plus less than five hundred will only buy a very well shot Beretta or miroku wereas I suspect the silma is pretty new. Op will easy get his money back if he ever trades for a +1k gun especially if he befriends his smith. Imo having a good relationship with one or poss two smiths and remaining loyal pays off long term. Sorry I digress but just a tip for the op.
