Really nice registered ESP shoot at Southdown today.

Only our second visit but enjoyed it a lot. Actually shot the long stuff very well but there were a few of the shorter, trickier birds that did my head in.

Ended up with a score of 70.

Thanks again to Shaun for assisting with the trip back up the hill. Enormously grateful.

Well that's an opinion, but not necessarily one that I share.

In fact, saying that a target just needs line and lead is a bit like admitting you have an "A Level in stating the bleeding obvious", as John Cleese would say. Surely a successful attack on ANY target relies on placing the shot string along a correct path with the correct lead?

Anyway, I'm certainly not experienced enough with this Sporting lark to enter any deep discussion about it, but suffice to say, having shot Skeet for too many years and consequently not been used to shooting at anything over about 30 yards or so away, I still got a big bloody buzz from hitting the high tower birds today . . . . . . . no matter how easy you may think they are
